Vol. 01 · A practice introduction

Where reflection becomes a path forward

Crossroads Medical Associates PC offers thoughtful, clinician-led outpatient behavioral health care to adults across Indiana, where the pace of life and the weight of it rarely move at the same speed.

Our care

How our care is shaped

01

Specialty Care

Beyond general outpatient care, Crossroads Medical maintains focused clinical programming for adults presenting with specific condition profiles that benefit from a more structured, coordinated approach. These specialty programs draw on condition-specific protocols and are staffed by clinicians with particular depth in the relevant literature. The goal is not a separate tier of service but a more precise alignment between a patient's clinical picture and the treatment delivered.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Crossroads Medical begins with an evaluation long enough to be genuinely informative, one that takes into account not only symptoms but history, context, and the patient's own account of what is happening. Medication management, when it is indicated, is approached iteratively, with regular follow-up appointments that track both response and the details of daily life that shape it. The psychiatrist you meet at intake remains your psychiatrist throughout.

Couples & Family Care

Relational care at Crossroads Medical is offered to adult couples and family configurations navigating communication breakdown, major life transitions, grief, conflict, or the long-term effects of earlier relational patterns. The clinicians who lead this work understand that the unit of treatment is the relationship itself, and they bring that orientation to every session rather than simply arbitrating between individual positions. Couples and family work is conducted separately from individual care to preserve the distinct purposes of each.

Telehealth

Secure video appointments are available for both psychiatric and psychotherapy services and are conducted through a platform that meets federal privacy standards. For patients in Indiana whose geography, schedule, or circumstances make in-person attendance difficult, telehealth offers the same clinical relationship through a different medium. The standard of care does not change with the format; the appointment is structured, documented, and followed up in exactly the same way.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy here is scheduled as a weekly or biweekly commitment, not as an occasional supplement to medication. Our licensed psychotherapists are trained in modalities with strong empirical support, including cognitive-behavioral approaches, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance-based frameworks, and the selection of approach is made in dialogue with the patient rather than by default. The work is slow by design, because the conditions that bring most adults to therapy did not arrive overnight.

About the practice

Crossroads Medical

Some moments in a person's life arrive quietly, and some arrive all at once. Crossroads Medical was built on the conviction that both deserve the same quality of attention: unhurried, rigorous, and genuinely human.

Our clinical team is composed of board-certified psychiatrists and independently licensed therapists (psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors). We deliver care both in person and through secure telehealth, and we work with most major commercial insurance plans.

Common questions

Frequently asked

How soon can a new patient typically expect to be seen?
New patient availability varies by clinician and by service type, and we will give you an honest answer when you contact us rather than a number that sounds appealing. Psychiatric evaluations and therapy intakes are scheduled separately, and in some cases the therapy waitlist moves differently than the psychiatry schedule. We recommend reaching out early if your timeline has flexibility, and communicating clearly if it does not.
Is telehealth available for all services, or only certain appointment types?
Secure video appointments are available for both psychiatric medication management and individual psychotherapy. Couples and family sessions may also be conducted via telehealth in many circumstances, though the clinician leading that work will make a recommendation based on the specifics of your situation. All telehealth appointments require that the patient be physically located within Indiana at the time of the session, in accordance with licensing requirements.
What credentials do the clinicians at Crossroads Medical hold?
Psychiatrists at this practice hold board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and psychotherapists hold licensure at the independent practice level in Indiana, typically as Licensed Clinical Social Workers or Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Credentials are verified and maintained, and the practice does not employ clinicians in roles that exceed the scope of their licensure.
